“But, as it is written, ‘What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.'” (1 Corinthians 2:9 ESV)
“In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?” (John 14:2 ESV)
I had the sweetest encounter on the way to church last night. Jesus visited me in my car. I was thinking about today’s devotional when He gave me the title. I was thinking about topics. Then I started thinking about heaven. I am looking forward to seeing heaven.
But I was reminded I have seen a glimpse of it already. Several years ago, I was really missing mom. God gave me a dream about her. She looked like she was in her 30’s and was planting flowers around a mailbox. It was beautiful.
Jesus reminded me of that dream, then said my time is coming. I am not rushing it but I am ready when my time here is up. I have heard others talk about being taken to heaven and how beautiful it is. The song I Can Only Imagine is the basis for today’s devotional. I love this song. I do imagine what it would be like to be standing with the Son. I know all you fact checkers. It says standing in the sun…
“Surrounded by your glory
What will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus
Or in awe of You be still
Will I stand in your presence
To my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine.”
I do often wonder what it will be like. Will I dance or fall to my knees and worship him? I guess I will find out when I get there. I am praying all of you make the right decision and will be in heaven with me. I hope to see all of you there when it’s your time. Look me up. I will be the one with a ton of kids around me.
