  Who Can Say? A Poem

by | Oct 18, 2014 | Poems, Salvation, Sin, Spiritual Life

Who can say that they’re sin free?

Not him, or her, nor you and me.

Who can say they haven’t strayed

From the righteous path that God hath made?

The Good Book says we all fall short,

When it comes to pleasing God.

We all sin, as each day passes,

As along life’s path we trod.

I have heard some people say,

“I know that I’m sin free.”

But, I know that they’re mistaken

And, like the blind, they just can’t see.

We’re all just only human,

And humans make mistakes.

But, thank the Lord that He forgives,

So we can enter Heaven’s gates.

I wish I were an angel, Lord,

So, then, I wouldn’t stray.

But, You know, I’m only flesh and blood,

Because You made us all that way.

For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.”
