  The Raging Storm A Poem

by | Oct 18, 2014 | Poems

There’s a raging storm, outside, tonight.

It’s enough to scare the darkness out of the night.

But, I’m not at all worried now (can’t you see),

Because the storm doesn’t know it can’t get to me.

The storm doesn’t know it can’t get to me.

The Lord will send it reeling into the depths of the sea.

All He has to do is just say, “Peace, be still,”

And the raging storm will abide by His will.

No, I’m not worried about the big, bad, storm.

With the Lord beside me, I’ll be safe and warm.

He’s already promised that He’ll see me through,

No matter what the storms of life will do.

Now, if you’ve been saved by the Lord’s sweet grace,

He will put that big, bad, storm in it’s place.

You won’t have to worry, now.

Don’t you see? Just say, “The storm doesn’t know it can’t get to me.”
