Jesus kept knocking at the door of my heart.
He whispered, softly, “Please, let me come in.”
So, I opened it wide and let Him inside.
Now, I’ve found such a true, loving, friend.
I was shaking as I walked to the alter;
Teardrops falling, like rain, down my face.
I dropped down on my knees and felt so at ease
As I thanked Him for His wonderful grace.
I said, “Lord, I know I’m not worthy
Of the grace and forgiveness you’ve shown
And, when You died for me upon that cruel wooden tree,
That was the greatest love I’ve ever known.
So, when He knocks at the door of your heart,
I hope you’ll listen and let Him come in
Because you can search this whole world over
And never find such a love without end.
“I am the door; by me if any man
enter in he shall be saved,
And shall go in and out, and find pasture.”
(John: 10:9)
