“Help Lord for Godly are no more, the faithful have varnished from among men” (Psalms.12:1)
We are living in a time of scientific developments. Technologically and economically we have advanced very fast. Also economically we are almost on the top. But along with this, wickedness has also multiplied and capturing the cultured man.
Why this contradiction?
Because humanity did not develop spiritually. Our minds are still corrupted and our achievements have not worked to change our sinful hearts. The Psalmist gives the reason why this happens: “where among the sons of men vileness exalted the wicked will be prowled” (12:8). As a result, the godly men are no more, and the faithful shall be vanished.
When you look at the condition of our world today, people live in fear of terrorist, sex rackets, robbers and murders. No governments can control them. God himself looked down from heaven and made a statement: “There is no righteous, not even one, There is none who understands no one who seeks God…” (Ps 14:1; Rom 3; 10:18)
In compassion, God sent Jesus Christ to our world that the world may be saved. He died on the cross of calvery as a ransom for us. When we accept Him by faith, God counts it as righteousness and adopts us as His Sons (Jon1:12) This is the way to fill up the gap of godly man in this world.
The word salvation means: Deliverance, healing, safety, preservation and soundness. Therefore when we receive Jesus Christ, we have all these. You can be delivered from sin, healed from sickness and preserved from all kinds of life’s problems. Be a godly man through Jesus and be faithful to God for the betterment of this world.
Prayer
Almighty God, our world is progressing without thee and will end in destruction therefore we pray to open their inner eyes to see thy plans and save them from destruction. Let the godly and faithful men increase and the problem be solved. Thank you, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
