How to Save Your Marriage A Poem

by | Oct 18, 2014 | Family, Marriage, Poems

If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you a thousand times!

Wipe your feet! Wipe your feet!
Alright! Alright!

Someone else’s arms look very sweet!

Watch your weight! Watch your weight!

Why do you have to eat so much!  How I long for someone else’s touch!
All you ever do is spend! Spend! Spend!
Can’t wait to talk to my very special friend!

Night after night! All you ever do is snore! Snore! Snore!
One of these mornings, I’m walking out the door!
To save your marriage, above all else, be kind!
You don’t have to say everything that’s on your mind!

Truth has its place, and plays its part!
But speak truth with compassion in your heart!
Treat your spouse with gentleness and grace!
Or, someone else will be happy to take your place!
