I remember when I was young,
I asked my momma where God came from.
Then, I asked her why she believed
In someone she could not see,
And this is what she said to me.
She said, “You can’t see the wind, blowing through our apple trees.
But, you know that it’s there; you can feel the gentle breeze.
Honey, you don’t have to see Him, to know that He is real.
Just close your eyes and you can feel.
And when you get down on your knees in prayer,
You can feel His love surround you there.”
She said, “You can’t see hope, or you can’t see faith.
But, they’re part of God’s amazing grace.
So, when you get down upon your knees,
Just remember the wind in our apple trees.
You’ll feel His presence surround you there,
Because He’s in the wind. He’s everywhere.
John 8:23
He said unto them, “Ye are from beneath, I am from above, Ye are of this world, I am not of this world.”
