Captured by God’s Holy Calling

by | Oct 18, 2014 | Witnessing

God is ushering us into His presence where He wants to perfect us into His mould and design. He is calling us into the Holy of Holies, humbled by His grace and perfected by His love. I sense in my spirit that these are such difficult times for the church even more than normal. The labourers are being battered and bruised with afflictions of the heart that wants to destroy the soul rather than the physical.

Amidst all of this, there is a mantle of anointing being released over the land that is capturing our hearts, it is a holy calling that is motioning us and drawing us into greater levels of enlarged territory. Church of God, you are looking around and saying, I am not fit to do this work, this can’t possibly be for me, I am too struck to be effective, I am too broken to be a vessel of hope in Christ, I am too far away to come back and every other notion of No as you shrug your head in disbelief.

What can I teach others when all I have ever believed in is being shaken, questioned and tried? God is not looking for perfect examples with flawless lives, He is looking for messengers of hope that triumphed through the darkness and walked beyond the end of the road. He is looking for real people with real trials to show the world that He is real. The authentic life of a labourer is a life of many winding roads of turbulence but the consistency of an Almighty God makes any road worth the journey.

We will never have all the answers but don’t give up on where God wants you to be. Just for today let the power of God usher you into His presence , let Him who planted your feet keep you firm to stand . There is no higher calling over your life than to be a labourer of Christ . Many are called , few are chosen , choose to be chosen. Be a vessel emptied of the world but filled with the awesome glory of God.

“But you will be called the priests of the LORD; You will be spoken of as ministers of our God. You will eat the wealth of nations, And in their riches you will boast.” (Isaiah 61:6) “But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.” (1 Peter 2 : 9)

It doesn’t get any better than this, we are a people for God’s own possession, a people who will proclaim His excellencies from out of darkness into his marvelous light. We are called priests of God, ministers of God that will eat the wealth of the nations. I didn’t say it, God did.

Many of you were busy with your plough, storms brew and you left the plough down and started focusing on the dark clouds, now take your eyes of the storm and pick up your plough.

The storm has nourished the ground and softened the hard soil for you to freely till, sow and reap. As you bend down now to pick up your plough, the warmth of God is filling you. The peace of God is flooding you, the strength of God is equipping you, the presence of God is motioning you, the providence of God is carrying you and the anointing of God is sealing you into the covenant of Christ.

Let your heart, mind, soul, body, thoughts, actions, speech, let all of you be captured by God’s Holy calling. Quickly now, get up and keep going. Storms will always brew, waters will always flood, the fire will always rage and GOD WILL ALWAYS BE FAITHFUL.

Prayer Thought

Dear Lord, mould me, make me, use me, fill me, lead me and walk beside me. As I pick up my plough and walk, thank you for being with me and not leaving me alone. Thank you for always being faithful to me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
