Twilight dawns upon my face,
The moonbeams dance around me
And, in my heart, gloom has no place;
For the Savior’s love has found me.
I look up at the starry skies
And thank the Lord, above,
That He put His twinkle in my eyes
And fills my soul with love.
O, how wonderful is thy mercy, Lord,
How tender is thine heart
To let so many blessings flow;
Though we are world’s apart.
I thank thee for Your goodness, Lord.
I praise thee for Your grace.
Your forgiveness surpasses all understanding.
O, how I long to see Your face.
From the heavens, far above me,
I hear a soft voice call my name,
Saying, “Come, the groom awaits thee,”
And it’s such a sweet refrain.
