"Praise the Lord; for the Lord is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant." (Psalm 135:3 KJV)
One of my all time "Favorite" things to do, is dim the lights in the
living room, sit in my rocker recliner, put on praise and worship music
and get totally lost in Jesus.
It is such an awesome time! No one
there, except, the Lord and me. "He is altogether lovely!"
(Song of Solomon 5:16 KJV)
Basking in His presence brings forth
emotions like humility, thanksgiving, amazement, surrender, joy, and
peace, to name a few.
During those precious moments when I get to
behold specks of His majesty, holiness, truth, might, and glory,
Scriptures will often come to my remembrance.
Through them I
receive doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness.
2 Timothy 3:16).
Poem titles, song lyrics, lessons, and story ideas have been known
to spring forth while spending such blessed moments with the Lord. The
poem "Praise The Lord" came from one such moment...
I've come today to praise the Lord
I've come today to
I've come today to lift Him up
To let His praises ring
I need no special answered prayer
To spur me on to praise
praise should come regardless
Of the problems faced each day
For God is not my servant
He's my Master, Lord, and King
says we ought to praise Him
To give thanks in everything
God alone is worthy
He deserves our highest praise
And may His
praise upon my lips
Be found there all my days
What a joy,
delight, and privilege it is for us to praise the Lord, and we can do so
anytime, anywhere, and any day!
