Beyond The Tomb
The Roman soldiers tortured Him, Then pierced Him in the side. His blood flowed free like a river. It was finished, done;
He had died. Satan thought that his victory was done. But, three days later, Jesus rose from the grave. Beyond the tomb, our
redemption was won. To roll the stone from its stead. When the soldiers, on guard, saw the angel, They fell to the
ground as if they were dead. Jesus wiped that smirk from his face. Beyond the tomb, and beyond the cross, Was victory for the
whole human race. And told them 'what God had in mind' Was for Him to suffer and die on the cross; For their sins, and
all of mankind. Two angels appeared to His men, Saying,"Why do you stare into heaven. Don't you know He'll
be coming again?" To claim His blushing bride. Then, we'll all live with Jesus, forever. In His loving arms
we'll abide. |
